Creating your stationery
Points to consider on your save the date cards
- These are a teaser of what's to come
- They are great for overseas guests who need extra time to organise flights
- A great way of feeling out who will be able to come so you can adjust your numbers accordingly.
- They should be kept simple with just the date, location, and of course who the bride and groom is.
Think dinner parties, Christmas functions, Balls or a childs birthday. Add a little bit of sass to your event with matching stationery
Points to consider on your occasions invitations
-Some of the designs are very universal, be sure to look in all sections for the perfect card
-To add that little bit extra to your party think about matching name placement cards and Menus or thank you cards for those lovely gifts
-The text fields on the inside left page of folded cards are for RSVP information. Leave this blank if you use the matching RSVP cards
-If you dont want anything printed in a text field please leave it blank
-If these layouts dont offer enough flexibility for your text, try using the thank you card of the same set. However, there is no variation of font or size on the thank you card templates
-All designs have different numbers of lines, typefaces, colours and order of information. If you want to change any of these to a specific design please call or email Kate +64 (0)21 449 332
-The display text in the fields is just to get you started, play around and have fun with it. You must sign off a proof before we print so don't be frightened to keep playing around till it's perfect
-We will send a proof to your email address for you to check and show off to your friends
Use these for all those extra bits. Try a menu, everyone loves to see what they are going to be eating and menus are great to add the extra element to really posh up a dinner. Or order of service cards, toast cards, welcome packs, accommodation information, and get creative!
Points to consider on your multipurpose designs
- Make menus sound delicious, use your imagination
- You could have one per guest or a couple per table
- Want to combine menus with placement cards? Leave the heading of the multipurpose design blank and hand write in your guests name. Its different and saves you money
- Some design are made for larger amounts of text and have room for information on both sides
Points to consider with your placement cards
- These come blank so you have to hand write the guest names on them. Make sure you get a few extra in case mistakes are made
- Use a calligrapher if you have messy handwriting like me or find a friend who is neater
Points to consider with your RSVP cards
- All you need to do is add the return address
- RSVP cards make the process so simple for your guests
- Most RSVP cards don't come with envelopes. If you want envelopes they can be purchased from 'envelopes' on the 'shop' page
- Just pop the RSVP cards in with your invitation and your guests send them back in their own envelopes
- Collection of these is a great job to delegate. Remember it's your special day and everyone wants to be a part of it and help
Points to consider on your thank you cards
- There is often a space on the inside left of the card to put your address details
- You might want to tell your guests what your favourite part of the day was
- It's a great idea to include a photo of your guest enjoying the event
